Lisansüstü eğitim, öğrencilere bilimsel araştırma yaparak bilgilere erişme, bilgiyi değerlendirme ve yorumlama yeteneği kazandırmayı amaçlar. Eğitim sürecinde amaca uygun ve etkili bilimsel araştırma yürütme becerileri kazanılmaya çalışılır. Bu noktada lisansüstü eğitim öğrencilerinin bilimsel araştırma sürecinde karşılaştıkları problemlerin belirlenmesi ve bu problemlere ilişkin çözüm önerileri getirilmesi gerekliliği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Buradan hareketle araştırmada lisansüstü eğitim öğrencilerinin bilimsel araştırma sürecinde karşılaştıkları problemlere ilişkin görüşlerini belirleme amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 bahar döneminde Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsünde öğrenim gören 20 lisansüstü eğitim öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin 6’sı yüksek lisans 14’ü ise doktora öğrencisidir ve gönüllülük esasına göre araştırmaya dâhil edilmişlerdir. Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum araştırması desenine uygun yürütülmüştür. Örneklem seçiminde kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulmuş açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir görüşme formu aracılığı ile elde edilmiştir. Görüşme formu, belirlenen genel amaç çerçevesinde yapılandırılan 8 sorudan oluşturulmuştur. Veri toplama aracının geçerliliği elde edilen verilerin ayrıntılı bir biçimde raporlaştırılması ile sağlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler nitel araştırma desenine uygun olarak içerik analizi yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda lisansüstü eğitim öğrencilerinin bilimsel araştırma sürecinde karşılaştıkları problemlere ilişkin görüşleri belirlenmiştir. Buna göre lisansüstü eğitim öğrencilerinin bilimsel araştırma süreçlerinde konu seçimi, kaynaklara ulaşma, yöntem seçimi, veri toplama, veri analizi, rapor yazma aşamalarında karşılaştıkları problemler ve bu problemlere yönelik çözüm önerilerine ilişkin görüşleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu sonuçlar ışığında öneriler getirilmiştir.

Graduate education aims to provide students with the ability to access to information and to assess and interpret it by doing scientific research. During graduate education, students try to acquire skills needed for doing an effective scientific research. At this point, it is crucial to determine the problems graduate students face during their graduate education and their solution suggestions for these problems. So, this study aims to determine these problems that graduate students face during graduate education. The working group consists of 20 graduate students who study at Firat University Institute of Educational Sciences in 2015-2016 spring term. While 6 of these students are graduate students, the rest 14 are doctoral students and all these students participated in the study voluntarily. The study is a case study, which is of qualitative research patterns. Sample selection was made using easily accessible sampling technique. The data were collected via an interview form created by the researcher consisting of open-ended questions. The interview form includes 8 questions which were all determined within the overall objective of the study. The validity of the data collection tool was ensured through a detailed report of the data. The data obtained were analyzed through content analysis in accordance with qualitative research pattern. At the end of the research, the problems graduate students face during their graduate education were determined. So, the problems they face while choosing their research subjects and methods, accessing to resources, collecting and analyzing the data, and writing reports were all determined. In the light of these results, some suggestions were made.
