Bu çalışmanın amacı Alana Özgü Risk Alma Ölçeği (DOSPERT)’in psikometrik özelliklerini araştırmaktır.
The purpose of this research is to study the psychometric features of the A-Domain Specific Risk Taking (DOSPERT) scale. The sample of the study includes linguistic equivalence of the scale, test-retest and measurement reliability were conducted with 30 and 54 participants respectively. Construct validity was also carried out on 510 participants from different outdoor adventure categories (from air, land and water-based). In Turkish adaptation process of DOSPERT, its language equivalence was assessed and strong positive and significant correlations were obtained between Turkish and English versions. Explanatory and Confirmatory factor analysis showed, a five-factor structure confirmed for Turkish culture consistent with the original scale of DOSPERT and has proved valid as twenty-five item unlike the original. Reliability analyses showed, internal consistency coefficients (Cronbach Alpha (α) ethical .78, financial .78, health/safety .76, recreational .78, social .75, and total scale .86) and test-retest reliability (n=54, ethical .46, financial .67, health/safety.78, recreational .72, social .34 and total scale .78) and measurement reliability (t=1.288, p=.203, p>.05) were found. Based on these results, it can be said that DOSPERT is an instrument that has sufficient psychometric properties can be used in the field of outdoor adventure recreation.
