This study aims to investigate the senior Turkish education department students’ efficiency of visual literacy. Based on the aim, it was researched whether the senior pre-service Turkish teachers’ visual literacy changed according to the students’ education type. The survey design was adopted in the study. “Efficiency of Visual Literacy Scale” was administered to the senior class students of Turkish education department of a state university in the academic year 2014-2015. The findings showed that the students’ visual literacy significantly changed according to the education type, daytime and night class, and also their level of literacy was in an adequate level.
