The religious perspective of Aytmatov is addressed on the grounds of God-FateFaith, the existence of pre-İslamic clans of Turkic peoples and religious beliefs that shape this very existence go hand in hand in his narratives. As it is known, the ancient Turkic peoples were nomads and warriors, therefore for many centuries they were under the influence of different religions. The continuation of preislamic traditions as a folkloric culture even after the acceptance of Islam created a different style in Shaman-Islam synthesis. The lifestyle which is affected by this synthesis unavoidably impacted the world of thought and emotions of the writer and was reflected in his works. Especially, the patters of Shamanism, which is the oldest faith of the antient Turks, is often melted in Islamic belief system, and sometimes become a part of the religion among the peoples of Central Asia and Anatolia (despite the mismatch with Islamic Dogmas). While old religions emerged on Asian soils were read as different religions by many researchers, Aytmatov interpreted Shamanism, Buddhism and Tengrism (Heaven Creator religion) together, because those three religions existed on the same geography at the same time. This has resulted in the creation of new concept of contemplation and obedience in the style of Aytmatov, as well as reflected in his works
