İnsanlığın yaratılışıyla birlikte çalışma kavramı hayatın devamı için zorunlu bir olgu olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. İnsanın ömründeki bir "günlük" süreç incelendiğinde sürecin bir kısmı çalışma, yeme içme, uyku gibi fizyolojik ihtiyaçların karşılanması, bir kısmı da artık zaman anlamındaki boş zamandan oluşmaktadır. İnsanlar boş zamanlarını yenilenme ve tazelenme amacıyla rekreatif etkinliklere katılarak değerlendirebilmektedirler. İlgili literatür incelendiğinde, rekreatif etkinliklere katılımlarda bazı engellerin olduğu göze çarpmaktadır. Bu nedenden dolayı Fırat Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin boş zamanlarında rekreatif etkinliklere katılımın önündeki engelleri belirlemek; bu engellerin bazı bağımsız değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmaya toplam 180 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile Gürbüz ve vd. (2010) yılında geliştirdiği Boş Zaman Engelleri Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerinin değerlendirilmesinde spss paket programı kullanılmış anlamlılık düzeyi p<0,05 kabul edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde; katılımcıların, rekreasyonel etkinliklere katılımlarında engel oluşturan unsurlar arasında tesis faktörünü ve onunla beraber bireysel psikoloji faktörlerinin takip ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgular ışığında, öğrencilerin boş zamanlarını daha aktif, etkin ve çok çeşitli aktivitelerle değerlendirebilmeleri için sunulan olanaklar yeniden değerlendirilmelidir. İş veya ders yoğunluğundan dolayı boş zaman aktivitelerine katılamayan gençlere kısa tatillerinde veya iş dışı zamanlarında özel bir mekân ve özel bir zaman ayırmayı gerektirmeyen aktiviteler önerilebilmektedir.
With the creation of mankind, the concept of work has emerged as an obligatory phenomenon for the continuation of life. When a "day" process in a person's life is studied, part of the process is the satisfaction of physiological needs such as work, eating, sleep, and some are now made up of free time in terms of time. People can evaluate their leisure time by participating in recreational events with the aim of renewing and refreshing. When the relevant literature is studied, it is noted that there are some obstacles to participation in recreational events. For this reason, the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Fırat aims to identify the obstacles in front of participation in recreational activities in their leisure time; to show that these obstacles differ or not according to some independent variables. A total of 180 students attended the study. In the research, the data collection tool with the Personal Information Form and Vd. It was developed in 2010 by the Empty Time Barriers Scale. In the assessment of the data, the meaning level used in the spss package program was accepted p<0,05. When the results of the analysis were examined, it was found that the participants followed the facility factor among the elements that prevent their participation in recreational events and, along with it, the individual psychological factors. In light of these findings, the opportunities offered to students to be able to evaluate their leisure time more actively, effectively and with a wide variety of activities should be re-evaluated. Young people who are unable to participate in their leisure activities due to the work or class intensity may be recommended activities that do not require a special place and a special time in their short holidays or out-of-work times.
