Abstract:

In recent years, with the incentive of the study on learning and teaching techniques, new teaching-learning techniques are emerging. One of these techniques that are the main objective of learning and teaching at the top point is the Scenario-based Learning Method (STÖY). The student focused on this method is that the purpose of knowledge is to be learned by doing, living and lasting longer. The purpose of this study is to teach themes of language knowledge such as phrase and word knowledge with STÖY. The study was carried out in two sixth-class branches in Istanbul/Kâğıthane Şehit Adem Yavuz High School. In this framework, first, one control group (35 students) and the other experiment group (35 students) are identified as two 6th-class branches of students studying. At the beginning of the process, success levels were identified with a pre-test on word knowledge prepared in order to measure the prepared outcomes of students studying in both branches. The study, which will last five weeks, will be taught to the students in the subject experiment group and to the students in the STÖY and control group with the traditional/direct narrative method. With the final test conducted at the end of the process, the students were also determined the success levels and the aim was to provide a higher success than the control group of the experiment group in which the STÖY was implemented by comparing the last test with the previous test.
