Bu çalışmanın amacı, 1974-2018 döneminde demokrasi rejiminin doğrudan yabancı yatırımlara etkisini araştırmaktır. Demokrasi rejiminin ekonomik yapının gelişimine katkıda bulunup bulunmadığı konusunda az sayıda çalışma yapılmakta olup demokrasinin doğrudan yabancı yatırımların artmasının bir nedeni olup olmadığı araştırılmaktadır. Çalışmada PP ve ADF birim kök testleri kullanılarak değişkenlerin durağanlık durumları incelenmiştir. Değişkenler arasında nedensellik ilişkisinin olup olmadığı Toda-Yamamoto Nedensellik Testi uygulaması yapılarak test edilmiştir. Birim kök testlerinden elde edilen sonuçlarda değişkenlerin birinci farkında durağan oldukları belirlenmiştir. Toda-Yamamoto nedensellik analizinde demokrasiden doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımlarına çift yönlü bir nedensellik bulunmuştur
The aim of this study is to explore the influence of the democracy regime on foreign investments in the period 1974-2018. A few studies are being conducted on whether the democracy regime contributes to the development of the economic structure and whether democracy is a cause of an increase in foreign direct investments. In the study, PP and ADF unit root tests used to study the stagnation conditions of the variables. It has been tested by the Toda-Yamamoto Causal Test application for whether there is a causal relationship between the variables. The result from the unit root tests has been determined that the variables are stable in the first consciousness. In Toda-Yamamoto's cause analysis found a double cause from democracy directly to foreign capital investments
