Abstract:

In this study, a bibliometric analysis of the postgraduate theses published in the field of "thermal tourism" in the database of the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Institute (YÖKTEZ) was carried out. For this purpose, the study included a total of 76 undergraduate theses, including 65 master theses and 11 doctoral theses, published on thermal tourism between 1988-2018. These theses have been studied according to the criteria of "the year in which they were completed", "university", "institute", "disciplines", "used keywords", "research methods", "data collection techniques", "sample group" and "research subjects". This information about the Graduate Thesis has been uploaded to the SPSS program, with data frequency and percentage analysis. According to the research findings, the research at the master’s level is weighted compared to the research at the doctor’s level; the majority of the thesis related to thermal tourism has been prepared within the University of Afyon Kocatepe. The majority of the theses are carried out under the Department of Business Anabilities; topics related to management and organizational discipline are also found to be in the first place. When the research methods of the theses are studied, the most qualitative method and survey technique are preferred; the most indigenous tourists are included in the sampling groups.
