The knowledge era we are living in today, along with the increasing importance of science, we encounter a great deal of knowledge argued to be scientific. This pseudoscientific knowledge can be distinguished from scientific knowledge only if the real meaning of science is known. Pseudoscience which is presented as scientific, but does not adhere to valid scientific processes and methods in full may face and mislead us in every field of our life. To make a distinction between science and pseudoscience and evaluate the allegations encountered, it is of vital importance to ascertain knowledge level pertaining to scientific method and determine pseudoscientific beliefs. In this regard, the science – pseudoscience distinction scale developed by Oothoudt (2008) was adapted to Turkish. For linguistic equivalence, the Pearson productmoment correlation coefficients were calculated, and associated t-test analyses were carried out. The scale was found to ensure linguistic equivalence. Based on the results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses on the scale, it was deemed suitable to reduce the number of items, which was 32 in the original, to 23. The items were collected under four different factors. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was found to be .750 at the end of the reliability analyses conducted
