Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the sub-graduate theses that are being prepared on the tourism subject in the Presidential Tess Center of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) by using the data visualization technique bibliometrically. The theses have been evaluated in terms of various bibliometric parameters such as the author's gender, year, the type of thesis, the consultant (number, title, gender), the institution (university, institute, main science branch, science branch), the field of study/theme and the Turkish and English study titles. The universe of the study covers 538 tourism subjects in the category of the theses that are being prepared, listed in the data base of the YÖK National Thesis Center from January 17, 2020. In the research, the data collection technique has been used by the methods of qualitative research using the document-archive scanning technique of secondary data sources. The analysis of data visualization used in the assessment of the theses provided access, the theses were made more clear with the graphics which are most focused on by addressing cross tables in terms of the specific bibliometric parameters. According to the regulations issued on 18 June 2018, the research has concluded that the entry into the national thesis database of graduate theses in the preparation stage in Turkey has significantly increased.
