ÖZET
Toplumsal birlik ve beraberliğin sağlanması, değerlerin gelecek nesillere aktarılması ile mümkün olacaktır. Bunun için değerleri aktarılabilmek büyük bir önem teşkil etmektedir. Bireylerin, sadece bilişsel olarak eğitilip ahlâk eğitimi yönünden eksik bırakılması toplumda dönüşü olmayan tahribatlara yol açabilir; hırsızlık, yalancılık, bencillik, sorumsuzluk gibi olumsuz davranışlar ortaya çıkarabilir. Bunun gibi problemlerin çözümü için dünyada ve ülkemizde değerler eğitimi çalışmalarına ağırlık verilmektedir.
Çocuk edebiyatı çerçevesinde değerlendirilen kitaplarda yer alan iletilerin tespit edilerek değerler eğitimi açısından incelenmesi değerler eğitimi çalışmalarının hedefleri arasındadır. Çalışmamızda, eserleri pek çok dile çevrilmiş çocuk hikâyesi yazarı Nuran Turan’ın, ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuyabileceği niteliklere sahip Türkçe Tema Hikâyelerinde yer alan “sevgi değeri” ve ilgili alt değerler ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Yazarın eserlerinde sevgi değeri; insan sevgisi, aile sevgisi, hayvan sevgisi, doğa sevgisi, okuma sevgisi ve vatan sevgisi gibi alt temalar şeklinde tespit edilmiştir. Hikâyelerin incelenmesinden elde edilen veriler üzerinde “betimsel analiz” yapılmıştır.
Ayrıca yazarın hayatı, eserleri ve edebî kişiliği incelenerek çocuk edebiyatı alanındaki yeri tespit edilmiştir. Bu araştırmada yazarın hayatı hakkındaki bilgilere, kendisi ile görüşülerek, yazarın görüşlerinden yararlanılarak ve çeşitli röportajlardan sağlanan veriler kullanılarak ulaşılmıştır.
Bu çalışma ile çocuk edebiyatı yazarı Nuran Turan’ın hikâyelerinde “sevgi” değeri incelenerek yazarın ve hikâyelerinin başta eğitimciler olmak üzere geniş kitlelerce tanınmasını sağlamak amaçlanmıştır.
ABSTRACT
Transmission of values to next generations enables the social unity and solidarity. This is the reason why it's of great importance to transmit these values to next generations. Educating individuals cognitively instead of teaching them moral values brings about some misbehaviours like robbery, deception, egoism, undutifulness, by causing social distortion. Values education studies in Turkey and all over the world concentrates on solving such problems.
It's among the aims of values education studies to find out and analyze the messages of the books, which are considered as children's literature works, in terms of values education. In this study, "the value of love" and other related sub values in the Turkish Theme Stories that bear qualifications, which make the stories readable for secondary school students, and written by Nuran Turan, whose works have been translated into a number of languages, have been analyzed. The value of love in the author's works is identified within the framework of some sub themes such as humanism, love of family, love of animals, love of reading and patriotism. The "descriptive analysis" of the data gained from the analysis of the stories is also available in this study.
In addition, the author's place in the children's literature has been put forth in consideration of her life, works and literary identity. The information about the author's life in this study has been collected by interviewing with the author herself and with the help of the author's opinions and the data gained from various interviews.
In this study, it is aimed to make Nuran Turan, who is a children's literature author, and her stories widely known by large masses and particularly by the education world through analyzing the value of "love" in her stories.
