Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to examine the emergence of new social movements as a result of the human rights violations experienced in the globalization process and the relationship of these movements with the civil society organization, the way they are organized, their movement styles and actors. Economic, social, cultural, ethnic and political developments have transformed areas such as language, religion, culture and identities in the period of globalization. The transformation in these fields has also had impact on the global climate, global war, capitalism, poverty, war and peace, terrorism, migration, urbanization, refugee problems, and human rights policies. The transformations that took place in these areas during the globalization period, increased the emphasis on human rights violations. Beginning with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a new area of action emerged in the name of the emphasis on human rights and the process of democracy functioning in universal validity. The identity-based Human Rights Movement emerged as an example of new social movements that have been effective in increasing this emphasis. The human rights movement, a new example of social movements, can be seen as a reaction to the negative effects of globalization on society and human life, rather than as an opposition to globalization.
