İletişim insanların bilgi, duygu ve düşüncelerini çeşitli yollarla başkalarına iletmeleridir. Tarihin başlangıcından beri insanlar duygu ve düşüncelerini aktarmada birçok yol denemiş ve kullanmıştır; fakat bunların en etki yolu ise sanat ile kurulan iletişim sonucunda oluşmuştur. Sanatçılarda eserlerinde bu düşünce ve duyguları çeşitli sembol ve renkleri kullanarak ifade etmişlerdir. Bu yüzdendir ki bir sanat eserini incelediğimizde o sanatçının anlatmaya çalıştıklarını anlamamızın ötesinde sanatçının iç dünyasına ve bilinçaltına inmemizde bazı sembol ya da renklerin bize yol gösterici olduğu bir gerçektir. Bu bağlamda, günümüz Türk resim sanatçılarından olan Neslihan Kıyar’ın eserlerinde yer alan pek çok duygu ve düşüncesinin arka planında sanatçının bize anlatmak istediklerini kullandığı renk, biçim ve sembollerden yola çıkarak incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden literatür tarama modeli kullanılmıştır.
Communication is the transmission of people's knowledge, feelings and thoughts to others in various ways. Since the beginning of history, people have tried and used many ways to convey their feelings and thoughts, but the most effective way of these was formed as a result of communication established with art. Artists have expressed these thought and feelings in their Works using various symbols and colours. That is why when we examine a work of art, beyond understanding what the artist is trying to explain, it is a fact that some symbols or colours guide us in descending into the artist’s inner World and subconsciousness. In this context, in the background of many feelings and thoughts in the works of one of the contemporary Turkish painting artists, Neslihan Kıyar, has been tried to be analyzed based on colors, forms and symbols which the artist wishes to express. In this study, literature review model, one of the qualitative research methods, was utilised.
