Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul yöneticilerinin epistemolojik inançları ile politik becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Çalışma nicel bir araştırma olup, ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili 39 ilçesinde resmi ve özel okullarda görev yapan 9.437 okul yöneticisi, örneklemini 581 okul yöneticisi oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, “Epistemolojik İnanç Ölçeği” ve “Politik Beceriler Ölçeği” yardımıyla toplanmıştır. Veriler, t-testi, ANOVA, korelasyon ve regresyon analiz teknikleri yardımıyla çözümlenmiştir. Bulgulara göre, epistemolojik inançların alt boyutlarından öğrenme süreci, doğuştan yetenek ve bilginin kesinliği inançları cinsiyetlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterirken, öğrenme çabası inancında ve politik becerilerde anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir. Epistemolojik inançların alt boyutlarından öğrenme süreci, doğuştan yetenek boyutları ve politik beceriler eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık gösterirken, öğrenme çabası ve bilginin kesinliği boyutlarında anlamlı farklılık bulunmamaktadır. Öğrenme süreci ve doğuştan yetenek boyutlarında, lisansüstü eğitimi olan yöneticilerin inanç düzeyleri lisans eğitimine göre daha yüksektir. Okul yöneticilerinin algıladıkları epistemolojik inanç boyutlarının düzeyleri ve politik becerileri, okul kademesine ve mesleki kıdemlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir. Koraelasyon analizine göre okul yöneticilerinin epistemolojik inanç alt boyutlarından öğrenme süreci ve öğrenme çabası boyutları ile politik becerileri arasında düşük düzeyde, pozitif ve anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Okul yöneticilerinin epistemolojik inanç alt boyutlarından doğuştan yetenek ve bilginin kesinliği boyutları ile politik becerileri arasında ise düşük düzeyde, negatif ve anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Regresyon analizine göre epistemolojik inançlar politik becerileri orta düzeyde etkilemektedir.
The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the epistemological beliefs of school managers and their political skills. The study is a quantum research and a relative scan model has been used. The universe of the research 2018-2019 educational year, 9,437 school managers working in official and private schools in 39 districts of Istanbul, the sample of 581 school managers. The data was collected with the help of "Epistemological Faith Scale" and "Political Skills Scale". The data is analyzed with the help of t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis techniques. According to the findings, the process of learning from the subdimensions of epistemological beliefs, the genuine skill and the certainty of knowledge show significant differences according to the gender of beliefs, while the learning effort does not show significant differences in beliefs and political skills. The process of learning from the lower dimensions of epistemological beliefs, the dimensions of native abilities and political skills differ significantly according to the state of education, while there is no significant difference in the dimensions of learning effort and the accuracy of knowledge. In the learning process and the dimensions of native talent, the levels of beliefs of managers with postgraduate education are higher than the degree education. The levels and political skills of the epistemological dimensions of beliefs that the school managers perceive do not differ significantly according to their school stage and professional advances. According to the correlation analysis, the school managers have found a low-level, positive and meaningful relationship between the learning process and the dimensions of the learning effort and their political skills from the epistemological beliefs. School managers have found a low-level, negative and meaningful relationship between the dimensions of native skills and the certainty of knowledge from the subdimensions of epistemological beliefs. According to the Regression Analysis, epistemological beliefs affect political skills at a medium level.
