Bu çalışmanın amacı, turistlerin yerel mutfak yeme eğilimleri ile unutulmaz turizm deneyimleri arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek ve bu konuda mevcut literatürdeki bilgi eksikliğine katkıda bulunmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, öncelikle detaylı literatür taraması sunulmuş, ardından araştırma sorularına yer verilmiştir. Alan araştırması kapsamında veri toplama aracı olarak anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Birincil veriler, 1-30 Kasım 2022 tarihleri arasında, bizzat araştırmacılar tarafından anketi doldurmaya gönüllü ve yiyecek içecek işletmeleri ile konaklama işletmelerinin restoranlarından hizmet alan toplam 329 ziyaretçiden yüz yüze ve bırak-topla yöntemleri kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Kolayda örnekleme tekniği kullanılarak toplanan bu veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, faktör, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri, bağımsız örneklem t-testi ve ANOVA gibi analizlerle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın en çarpıcı bulgusu turistlerin yerel mutfak yeme eğilimleri ile unutulmaz turizm deneyimleri arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişkinin tespit edilmesidir. Ayrıca turistlerin demografik özelliklerine ve seyahat deneyimlerine göre birtakım farklılıklar da tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between tourists’ local cuisine eating trends and unforgettable tourist experiences and to contribute to the lack of knowledge in the current literature on this. For this purpose, first detailed literary scan was presented, then research questions were placed. In the field research, the survey method was used as a data collection tool. The primary data, from 1 to 30 November 2022, was collected by researchers to fill the survey by volunteers and from a total of 329 visitors who served from food and beverage companies’ restaurants using face-to-face and left-top methods. These data collected using easy sampling techniques are analyzed with identifying statistics, factor, correlation and regression analysis, independent sampling t-test and ANOVA analysis. The most impressive finding of the study is the detection of a positive relationship between tourists’ local cuisine eating trends and unforgettable tourist experiences. There have also been a number of differences based on the demographic characteristics and travel experiences of tourists.
