Abstract:

The aim of this study was to adapt Goal Commitment Scale, developed by Hollenbeck, In this study “Loneliness Scale in Workplace” was carried out to determine if 533 teachers’ solitude in their career, who work in different positions in Ayaş, Güdül, Beypazarı and Nallıhan provinces in the northern of Ankara, differentiates or not according to sociodemographic variables. According to research results it was concluded that male teachers have higher level of social friendship compared to female teachers, teachers in low and middle level welfare have higher level of emotional deprivation compared to teachers in upper-level welfare and teachers who work in Güdül have higher level of social friendship compared to teachers who work in other provinces. Besides it was deduced that age, education, marital status, number of children, duration of experience in job, job positions and management tasks were not statistically significant on emotional deprivation and social friendship
