Abstract:

One of the artists in Turkey who consciously gave the first work in the field of children's poetry is Ibrahim Alaaddin Gövsa. The purpose of this research is to analyze the poems in the work "Poems to Children" in terms of themes, types and messages, and to try to determine the courses they can use in their activities, the main themes they can be included in the Turkish curriculum and the teaching values of the ten roots included in the curriculum. In this study, the method of document examination from the qualitative research methods was used to analyze the poetry book of Ibrahim Alaaddin Gövsa "Poems to Children". In this study, 31 poems included in the book "Poems to Children" of Ibrahim Alaattin Gövsa (Allah's Love, Religion, Fatherland, Padişah, Nation's Problem, Mother and Child, Ottoman Flag (Turkish Flag), Mother's Love, Horse and Pearl / Cahil with Book, Ertuğrul's Size, Goodness, Truthfulness (Little Story), Mithat Paşa, Farmers' Advice (Farmers' Advice), Nation's Song, Spring, Butterfly, Winter, Farmers, Fukarayı Love, Tilkinin's Promise, Working After, Game, Namak, Stars, Mr. Muhtar, Mr. Borazan, Mr. Kurt, Mr. Kurt, Mr. Kurt, Mr. Kurt, Mr. Kurt, Mr. Kurt, Mr. From the poems contained in the book "Poems to Children", it has been distributed in the framework of the themes of love, work, truth, help, death, reading, desire, preserving the living, being moral, sad, good for the country, struggle, heroism and freedom. In the poems studied in the study, the love of the fatherland, the love of the mother, the work and the work, the truth, the love of nature, the struggle, the love of God, the love of religion, the love of the kingdom, the value of reading, the guidance of the clear people, the help, the desire of spring, the not to harm the animals, the establishment of empathy, the love of the village and the farmer, the not to pride, the work of the four hands, the courage, the freedom, the strength and the good morality. Poems have been found to be used in social knowledge, religious culture and ethical knowledge, history and ataturcism courses with an interdisciplinary approach. There are also the main topics that poems can be included in the Turkish curriculum. As a result, Ibrahim Alaaddin Gövsa's poem book "Poems to Children" is a book that should be used in the lessons in terms of teaching values education.
