Abstract:

This study aims to examine the views of university students on social gender equality in terms of various variables. As a research model, the scanning model is selected from the quantum research methods. The universe of research is formed by undergraduate students studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in the 2019-2020 educational year. In the 2019-2020 educational year, 295 students who are studying in the first and last classes at the University of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir School of Education were also selected as a sample of the research. 78.3% of the participants are women and 21.7% are male students. The study used the Social Gender Equality Measurement (TCEÖ) as a data collection tool. The average score of students who participated in the study from TCEÖ is 25.09±8.26 (min. 13 to max. It was found 61. This situation shows that participants have a general equal attitude towards gender equality. The difference between the gender variable and the TCEÖ score average is statistically meaningful (p<0.05). There is no statistically meaningful difference between the TCEÖ score average and the civic state, the time of marriage, the child state, the age, the class and the division variables in study (p>0.05).
