Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversitelerin beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokullarında okuyan, beden eğitimi ve spor ile antrenörlük bölümü öğrencilerinin egzersiz bağımlılık düzeylerinin bölüm, cinsiyet ve yaş değişkenine göre incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 192 erkek 142 kadın olmak üzere toplam 334 beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokulu öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veriler “Egzersiz Bağımlılığı Ölçeği” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde t-testi ve pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre antrenörlük bölümünde okuyan katılımcıların egzersiz bağımlılığı düzeylerinin beden eğitimi ve spor bölümünde okuyan öğrencilere göre daha fazla olduğu (p=.000) ortaya çıkmıştır. Cinsiyet açısından erkek katılımcıların kadın katılımcılara göre daha fazla egzersiz bağımlılığı puanlarına sahip olduğu bulunmuştur (p=.000). Ayrıca katılımcıların egzersiz bağımlılığı ölçek puanları ile yaşları arasında herhangi bir ilişkinin olmadığı görülmüştür (r=.054; p=.324). Sonuç olarak, antrenörlük bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerin egzersiz bağımlılık düzeyleri beden eğitimi ve spor bölümünde okuyan öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu, cinsiyet açısından da erkeklerin daha fazla bağımlı olduğu ve katılımcıların yaşları ile egzersiz bağımlılık düzeyleri arasında bir ilişkinin olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin sadece iki bölümden seçilmesinden dolayı beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokulu bünyesinde bulunan diğer bölümlerin de olduğu yeni araştırmalar yapılmasına ihtiyaç olduğu söylenebilir
The aim of this study is to examine the exercise addiction levels of physical education and sports and coaching department students studying in physical education and sports colleges of universities according to the variables of department, gender and age. The sample of the study consists of 334 physical education and sports school students, 192 men and 142 women. Data were collected with the “Exercise Addiction Scale”. T-test and Pearson correlation analysis were used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings of the study, it was revealed that the exercise addiction levels of the participants studying in the coaching department were higher than the students studying in the physical education and sports department (p=.000). In terms of gender, it was found that male participants had higher exercise addiction scores than female participants (p=.000). In addition, it was observed that there was no relationship between the exercise addiction scale scores of the participants and their age (r=.054; p=.324). As a result, it was revealed that the exercise addiction levels of the students studying in the coaching department were higher than the students studying in the physical education and sports department, men were more dependent in terms of gender, and there was no relationship between the age of the participants and the exercise addiction levels. Since the students participating in the research were selected from only two departments, it can be said that there is a need for new researches including other departments within the body of physical education and sports college.
