Bu çalışmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin küresel eğitim, çokkültürlü eğitim, küresel vatandaşlık ve eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin tespit edilmesidir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden temel nitel araştırma kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu,ölçüt örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 7 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarıyapılandırılmış görüşme formuyla toplanmıştır. Veriler betimsel analiz tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre, öğretmenlerinküresel eğitim ve çokkültürlü eğitime dair derin bir anlayışa sahip olmadıkları, küresel vatandaşlık kavramını küresel vatandaşın sahip olması gereken niteliklerden hareketle tanımladıkları belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte öğretmenlerin çokkültürlü eğitim ile küresel vatandaşlıkeğitiminin gerekliliğine inandıkları tespit edilmiştir. Küresel eğitim bağlamında öğretmenlerin sorumluluklarının bilincinde olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin sosyal bilgiler dersinde küresel eğitim, çokkültürlü eğitim ile küresel vatandaşlık eğitimi öğretim etkinliklerinde dahaçok öğrenci merkezli anlayışı benimsedikleri görülmüştür.
The aim of this study is to identify the views of social information teachers on global education, multicultural education, global citizenship and education. The research methods are based on basic research methods. The study group consists of 7 social information teachers determined by measurement sampling method. The research data was collected through a semi-configured interview form developed by the researcher. The data is analyzed by imagistic analysis technique. Research findings have found that teachers have no deep understanding of global education and multicultural education, and that they define the concept of global citizenship by moving from the qualities that the global citizen should have. However, it has been found that teachers believe in the need for multicultural education and global citizenship education. In the context of global education, teachers are aware of their responsibilities. In the social information course, teachers have seen more student-centered understanding in global education, multicultural education and global citizenship education teaching activities.
