Abstract:

The period of Seljuks constitutes an important part of the Turkish-Armenian relations that have a long history. The Turkish-Armenian relations which began before the establishment of Great Seljuk State, advanced via winning a new dimension thanks to the conquests towards westward and continued its existence in the period of the Turkey Seljuk State. The relations that continues in the Turkey Seljuks period, took part in the political arena as it did in the social field. One part of the political relations was constituted by the event that Armenian of Çukurova became a party of the struggles of the sultanate in Turkey Seljuks. In this context, in the the prominent struggle of I. Massoud - Malik Arab; while the Armenian baron I. Theodoros (Toros) helped Malik Arab who took refuge of himself, re-establish a military; in another struggle between I Izzeddin Keykâvus and I. Aladdin Keykubad, the Armenian king showing up as the nature of the II. Leon took part in Aladdin Keykubad but later he thought that it is useful for his interests to take place in Izzeddin Keykâvus
