Abstract:

In the Second World War, the superiority of the Mihver block, which was formed around Germany in the first years of the war in Europe, was the main element in the formation of Turkish foreign policy in this period. Turkey was skillfully using all the means that the day brought to keep itself out of war, and it was able to sign alliance with Britain, and friendship treaties with Germany. Every success of the Mikhver states in Europe, on the one hand, shrinked the circle around Turkey, and on the other hand, made it compulsory for Turkey to develop new strategies. These strategies formed a foundation for overcoming a wide range of problems, from responding to requests from the MIHR to responding to pressure from the Allies. The Times, which reflects the opinions of the Mutabakat Government, which is one of the most rooted newspapers in Britain and was in power in Britain during this period, reflects the opinions of both the British government and the public in its news about Turkey. In this context, the statements that the newspaper has developed towards Turkey are also parallel to the course of the war.
