Suriyeli şairler, Suriye’deki savaşı ve savaşın geride bıraktığı mevcut sıkıntı ve felaketleri betimliyor ve öldürmeyi, yıkımı ve göçe zorlanmayı reddettiklerini ifade ediyor. Çünkü onlar bu savaşla birlikte en büyük tarihî dönüşümleri yaşarken vatandaşlarının hayatlarını kasıp kavuran bu çarpıcı döneme ilişkin tecrübelerini ve yaşadıkları dönemin tanıklıklarını şiir aracılığı ile ortaya koymaya çalışmaktadır. Bu çalışma, 2011-2018 yılları arasında Suriye savaşı sırasında üretilen bazı metinlere ışık tutmayı, bu şiir türünün doğuşu, bu dönemde Suriye içinde ve dışında yazılan Suriye şiirine yönelik araştırmacılar tarafından verilen önemli isimlendirmeleri ele almayı, ayrıca diaspora şairlerini birleştiren ortak özellikleri izah etmeyi ve şiirlerinin yapı ve tema açısıdan sanatsal özelliklerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu araştırma, metin ile metnin ortaya çıktığı toplum arasındaki ilişkiyi açıklamaya çalışan sosyal yaklaşıma dayanmaktadır. Bu yaklaşım, araştırmanın hedeflerine cevap verebilecek ve amaçlarına hizmet edebilecek en güçlü yaklaşımdır. İncelenen şiirsel metinleri tahlil ederken, iç sistemlerini gösterirken, ilişkilerini ve estetiksel işlevlerini anlamak için yapısal yaklaşım kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, diasporadaki Suriye şiirinin insanların vatanlarında ve yurtdışında yaşadıkları gerçekliği tasvir etmedeki rolünün önemli olduğu, bu şiirin her türlü zorlayıcı siyasi baskıdan uzak olduğu ve yazıldığı yerdeki koşullar nedeniyle formunun tam oluşmadığı gibi sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.
Syrian poets describe the current trouble and catastrophes behind the war and war in Syria and say they refuse to kill, destroy and force immigration. Because they are trying to reveal through the poem their experiences and the witnesses of the time they have lived, which has struck the lives of their citizens while they are experiencing the greatest historical transformations along with this war. This study aims to keep light on some of the texts produced during the 2011–2018 Syrian War, to address the birth of this kind of poetry, the important nominations given by the researchers to the Syrian poetry written within and outside of Syria during this period, as well as to explain the common characteristics that combine the diaspora poets and to reveal the artistic characteristics of their poems in the structure and the thematic perspective. This research is based on a social approach that tries to explain the relationship between the text and the society in which the text arises. This approach is the strongest approach that can respond to the research objectives and serve their objectives. When analyzing the reviewed poetic texts, the structural approach was used to understand their relationships and aesthetic functions, while showing their internal systems. The study found that the role of the Syrian poetry in the diaspora in depicting the reality that people live in their homeland and abroad is important, that the poetry is away from any form of compulsory political pressure and that its shape is not fully formed due to the circumstances in which it is written.
