Abstract:

This research was carried out with the aim of examining the opinions of patients applying to the Cigarette Clinic on the price of cigarettes from a behavioral economic perspective. The study, using the "fenomenological research" method, pointed out the effects of the price that affects patients' opinions and consumption on cigarette prices, the effect of cash, the willingness to pay and the free effect phenomena. In conversations, a semi-configured conversation guide was used that included questions based on these phenomena. The study found that the increase in smoking will not always reduce the smoking consumption, that the smoking is easier to take with a credit card and more stored, that those who prefer to pay cash when smoking often do not use the credit card, that the smoking remedies are free will have a positive impact on the application for treatment, that if the smoking remedies are paid, the patients will still apply for treatment. If patients are asked about the fees they will be willing to pay the most for cigarette cessation drugs, it is found that those who are willing to pay the one-time fee, those who are willing to pay the one-time fee for a certain period of time, those who are willing to pay the one-month fee until the one-month fee, those who are willing to pay the one-month fee, those who are willing to pay the one-month fee according to the rate of cessation, those who say they don't mind and those who are not willing to pay the one-month fee.
