Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to explore the mediation role of the concept of self-respect between divorces of married individuals and the styles of connection. In the study, as data collection tools, the family extinction scale, the interpersonal connectivity styles scale, the two-dimensional self-respect scale were used. This study, which used the relationship scan model, was conducted on 509 individuals (288 women, 221 men) who were still married in a civil state. In the hypothesis test model phase, the AMOS software was exploited and the relationships between the variables were analyzed by the path analysis. As a result of the route analysis to test the model created, the model’s compatibility values (CFI =.99, GFI =.99 and AGFI =.96 χ2 / sd1.37, RMSEA =.06) were found. The findings have shown that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between secure bonding and uncertainty; that self-respect also has the role of mediation in the uncertainty. The findings have been included in various recommendations for research discussed and forward-looking in the light of literature.
