Ağrı ili, Doğu Anadolu bölgesinin Yukarı Murat - Van bölümünde yer almaktadır. Ağrı, önemli yol ağlarının kesişme noktasında bulunmaktadır. Bölgenin en önemli su kaynağını, Fırat Nehri’nin önemli bir kolu olan Murat Nehri ve kolları oluşturmaktadır. Geç Kalkolitik Çağ’dan itibaren yerleşim gören Ağrı’da, İlk Tunç Çağı’nda Karaz Kültürü etkili olmuştur. Bölgede, geçmişten günümüze kadar gerçekleştirilen yüzey araştırmaları ve bilimsel kazılar neticesinde, bölgenin Eskiçağ Tarihi’ni aydınlatan önemli veriler elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, 2019 yılında Patnos ilçesinde gerçekleştirilen yüzey araştırması sonucunda incelenen merkezler, gerek mimari yapıları ve gerekse keramik verileri ışığında ele alınmıştır.
The pain is located in the Upper Murat-Van section of the Eastern Anadolu region. The pain is at the crossing point of important road networks. The most important water source in the region is the Murat River and its arms, which is an important arm of the Euphrates River. In the Pain, which has been settled since the late Calcolic Age, the Karaz culture has been effective in the First Tune Age. In the region, as a result of surface research and scientific excavations from the past to the present, important data that illuminate the region’s ancient history have been obtained. In this study, the results of the surface research carried out in the 2019 Patnos district have been examined in the light of the centers, the architectural structures and, if necessary, the ceramic data.
