Abstract:

An organizational trust is a trust of an employee towards its workplace whereas an organizational commitment is a commitment of an employee towards its workplace. The purpose of this article is to search the effect of an organizational trust on an organizational commitment in a banking sector. The questionnaires of the study were given to 270 employees who worked in three banks in Istanbul and 245 of them were collected back and analyzed. Frequency distribution and reliability analyzes, mean, standard deviation and variance analyzes, factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were applied to the data. It is found that an organizational trust affects an organizational commitment. This study is expected to contribute to further studies in this field.
