Bu araştırmanın amacı yansıtıcı düşünmeye dayalı öğretimin 7. sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler dersindeki uygulama sürecini, bu uygulamanın öğrencilerin bilişsel ve duyuşsal gelişimlerini nasıl etkilediğini incelemektir. Bu çalışma eylem araştırması deseni temele alınarak karma yöntemle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın nicel boyutunda tutum ve yansıtıcı düşünmeye yönelik ölçek verileri yer alırken, çalışmanın nitel boyutunda öğrencilerin deneysel işleme yönelik görüşleri ve araştırmacının gözlem bulguları yer almıştır. Bu çalışmada amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma süresince yansıtıcı düşünme çerçevesinde hazırlanan etkinliklerle bu beceri ve derse karşı tutumu geliştirmeye yönelik planlanan döngüler içinde öğrenme yaşantıları hazırlanmış, uygulamalar gözlem ve etkinliklerin sonuçlarına göre değerlendirilmiş ve düzenlemeler yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda, yansıtıcı düşünme temelli öğrenme yaklaşımı çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilen öğretim sürecinin öğrencilerin yansıtıcı düşünme becerilerini geliştirdiği ve öğrencilerin Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik tutumlarının olumlu yönde artmasını sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to study the application process of the teaching based on reflective thinking in the 7th class Social Information course, how this application affects the student's cognitive and sensual development. This study was carried out by a karma method based on the action research scheme. The quantitative dimension of the study includes attitude and reflective thinking scale data, while the qualitative dimension of the study includes students’ opinions on experimental processing and the researchers’ observation findings. In this study, easy-to-accessful sample methods have been used. With the activities prepared in the framework of reflective thinking during the study, the learning experiences were prepared in the scheduled cycles to develop this skill and attitude to the lesson, the practices were evaluated according to the results of observations and activities and arrangements were made. The study concluded that the teaching process carried out in the framework of a reflexive thinking-based learning approach developed students’ reflexive thinking skills and allowed students to increase their attitudes towards the Social Information course in a positive direction.
