So many results that aren't mine?

Keban Projesi: Ağın-kalaycık Höyüğü Kurtarma Kazısının Yeniden Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract:

Abstract:

In the framework of the Keban Project in Elazığ Ağın between 1968 and 1972 years in the President of Prof. Dr. Umit Serdaroğlu, grounds were made in Hoşrik Mevki, Kalecikler Höyüğü, Church Writing and Kalaycık Höyüğü. In this study, the first promotion and evaluation of the Kalaycık Höyüki cranberries is presented. It is an important area opened to the northern Kemaliye (Eğin) with the Erzincan Ovasi, and in the west also the Arabkir road with the Malatya Ovasi. Before the construction of Keban Barjı, Karasu and Murat rivers were united in Ağın and formed the Fırat. The efficient Altınova Region in the east of the Keban Baraj Lake area has been the scene of more intense research than other areas with its large and central character hills. However, a more limited extent of work has been done around the network opened to the west of the Elazığ pool. Kalaycık, located on the eastern coast of Karasu before the Keban Baraj Lake is a medium-dimensional hole that has been uninterrupted from the Calcolitic Period to the Islamic Period. While no distinct architecture of the Tune and Iron Age was found during the excavations, the wealthy Tune Tune Repertoire contains important information about the settlements of the Tune in the respective periods. In this study, from the Early Thun's Age to the Middle Iron Age, some of the chronologically different goods groups of chicken strawberries, which will make the historical process understandable, were studied. When compared to the findings of the Keban Project Rescue Horses, it can be said that the horses share the historic process of the Elazığ-Malatya region.

Abstract:

Within the scope of Keban Project, rescue excavations were carried out by Prof. Ümit Serdaroğlu at Hoşrik Area, Kalecikler Höyük, Kilise Yazısı and Kalaycık Höyük in Ağın region between 1968 and 1972. In this paper, the preliminary results on Kalaycık ceramic groups are presented. Located in Elazığ region to the west of Keban Dam, Ağın is an important area opening to the Erzincan Plain through Kemaliye (Eğin) to the north, and to the Malatya Plain through Arapkir to the west. Before the construction of the Keban Dam, the Karasu and Murat rivers merged in Ağın and formed the Euphrates. The fertile region of Altınova, situated to the east of Keban Dam has become an area of intense investigations due to its large mounds bearing a central character. However, the archaeological works carried out around Ağın to the west, is limited. Kalaycık, situated on the east coast of Karasu, was a medium-sized mound inhabited uninterruptedly from Chalcolithic to Islamic Period. During the excavations no signifi cant architecture was encountered belonging to the Bronze and Iron Ages but a rich ceramic collection contains important information about the settlement during these periods. In this study, Kalaycık Höyük’s collection of ceramic assemblages from Early Bronze Age to Middle Iron Age is investigated. When compared with the other Keban Project rescue excavations, it can be said that Kalaycık Höyük shared a similar historical process with Elazığ-Malatya region.
