Abstract:

This study aims to investigate the impact of agriculture, urbanization and renewable energy consumption on economic growth in Turkey for the 1990-2016 period by the ARDL border test. According to the ARDL border test results, there is a combination between agriculture, urbanization and renewable energy consumption and economic growth. The findings of integration show that agriculture, urbanization and renewable energy consumption have a long-term positive impact on economic growth. The error correction model (ECM) has also been used to study time-related dynamic relationships between series. The application of the ECM analysis found the ratio of the error correction term negative and statistically meaningful at the level of 1% significance. The fact that the error correction term has a negative and meaningful ratio means that short-term deviations in the series are close to the long-term balance level.
