Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the differences in the physical suitability parameters of the elite female basketball team and the elite female basketball team players. The research was conducted by the Fenerbahçe women's basketball team (N=12) and the Üsküdar Anadolu women's hentai team (N=12) who won the first league in Turkey in the 2004-2005 season. All measurements in the study (boy length, body weight, vertical jumping test, sitting-in-track test, spinning run, 20 meters sprint, body mass index (BMI), anaerobic strength, back strength, leg strength and right-left pencil strength tests) were applied to both team players. All the data obtained in the study is recorded in the SPSS statistical program, Descriptive analysis (X and S.S. ) and the MannWhitney U test applied to 2 different branches athletes compared with each other at the levels p<0,05 and p<0,01. As a result, elite female basketball and hockey team sports require a high degree of physical fitness capacity along with technical and tactical skills to be able to succeed in high-level competitions and to optimal performance. In our study, when compared the physical suitability parameters of the elite female basketball players and hentai players, a situation appears to be in favour of the basketball players in terms of the size parameters, there is no difference in other physical characteristics.
