Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify the opinions of the Social Information teachers on refugee students in their own course. The study group was selected according to the appropriate sampling method and a total of 11 Social Information teachers were included in the research. In the research done, the data was obtained using a semi-configured conversation technique from the quality research methods. In the analysis of the data, the visual analysis method was used. The most important findings obtained from the research are that social information teachers have the highest awareness of refugee students’ linguistic deficiencies and cultural differences, that they consider the active participation of refugee students in classes and their inter-class communications as a problem, that social information course is considered necessary for refugee students to learn about our country and our social life, that refugee students, taking into account, strive for class-in-class and non-class activities, and that the social information teaching program is not sufficient for the integration of refugee students in these classes.
