Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, sistematik yaratıcı problem çözme etkinliklerinin, ortaokul 6.sınıf öğrencilerinin Kuvvet ve Hareket ünitesindeki akademik başarılarına ve sistematik yaratıcı problem çözme becerilerine etkisinin incelenmesidir. Deneysel desene göre düzenlenen, deney ve kontrol gruplarının yer aldığı çalışmada ön-testler ve son-testler aracılığıyla araştırmanın ana ve alt problem cümlelerine yanıtlar aranmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2013-2014 eğitim- öğretim yılı, İstanbul ili, Başakşehir ilçesindeki bir ortaokulda öğrenim gören 6.sınıf deney grubu(30) kontrol grubu(30) olmak üzere toplam 60 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada ön-test ve son-test olarak deney ve kontrol gruplarına uygulanan veri toplama araçları, akademik başarı testi ve yaratıcı problem çözme testidir. Verilerin nicel analizi SPSS 20 istatistik programı kullanılarak yapılmış, nitel analiz kısmında ise içerik analizi uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, akademik başarı testinde deney grubunun lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Yaratıcı problem çözme testi değerlendirmelerine göre, deney grubu öğrencilerinde yaratıcı fikir üretme oranı kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bulgular, sistematik yaratıcı problem çözme etkinliklerinin akademik başarıyı  arttırdığı ve  sistematik yaratıcı problem çözümü açısından olumlu yönde katkıda bulunduğu  tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the impact of systematic creative problem-solving activities, high school 6th grade students on academic achievements in the Force and Movement Unit and on systematic creative problem-solving skills. The study, organized according to the experimental design, involving experiments and control groups, searched for answers to the main and sub-problem phrases of the study through pre-tests and final tests. The study’s work group is made up of a total of 60 students, including the 6th-class experiment group(30) control group(30) studying in a secondary school in the 2013-2014 educational year, Istanbul, Başakşehir district. The data collection tools applied to experiment and control groups as pre-test and final-test in the study are the academic success test and the creative problem solving test. Quantitative analysis of data is done using the SPSS 20 statistical program, and in the quality analysis section the content analysis is applied. As a result of the study, the academic success test found a significant difference in the benefit of the experiment group. According to the creative problem-solving test assessments, the percentage of creative ideas produced in the experimental group students has been seen to be higher than in the control group students. These findings have found that systematic creative problem-solving activities increase academic success and have contributed positively to systematic creative problem-solving.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of systematic creative problem solving activities on academic achievement, problem solving skills and systematic creative problem solving skills in the Force and Movement unit of middle school sixth grade students. Experimental and control groups, which were organized according to experimental design, were asked to answer the main and sub-problem questions of the research through pre-tests and post-tests. The study group of the study consists of a total of 60 students (30) in the 6th grade experimental group (30) studying in a secondary school in the province of Basaksehir, Istanbul in the academic year 2014-2015. Data collection tools applied to experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test in the study are academic achievement test and creative problem solving test. Quantitative analysis of the data was done using SPSS 20 statistical program. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group in the academic achievement test. According to creative problem solving test evaluations, the rate of producing creative ideas in the experimental group was found to be higher than the control group students. These findings indicate that systematic creative problem solving activities enhance academic success and contribute positively to systematic creative problem solving.
