Abstract:

This study was conducted with the aim of studying the attitudes towards the drama course in the teaching of social information that the fourth class teacher candidates received and their views towards this course. In this study, designed as a karma model, a study group was formed by fourth-class students from a state university in the Department of Social Information Teaching. To determine the attitudes of participants towards the creative drama course, the "Creative Drama Course Attitude Scale" developed by Adıgüzel in 2006 was implemented. In addition, a written opinion was received at the end of the application on the thoughts of the teacher candidates about the creative drama. During the application process, social information teachers candidates first and foremost preparation work related to creative drama was carried out. Later, examples of curriculum plans on how to use the creative drama method in social information teaching were implemented. In the analysis of the quantitative data of the study, the equivalent group t test was used to determine whether there is a significant difference between the total attitude points. In the analysis of data is used content analysis. At the end of this study, among the scores that the teacher candidates received from the "Creative Drama Course Attitude Scale" applied as a pre-test and estest, the estest scores were higher, although there was no statistically significant difference. The creative drama is a very effective method for the social information course and the social information course can be easily used in many subjects, the social information achievements and the achievements of the creative drama are compatible with each other.
