So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

Anadolu, tarih boyunca eski Osmanlı topraklarından kendisine yönelik birçok göç olayına şahit olmuştur. Özellikle 19. yüzyılın sonlarından Cumhuriyet dönemine değin olanlar, günümüz Türkiye’sinin toplumsal yapısını şekillendirir mahiyettedir.Bu çalışmada, Girit’ten Anadolu’ya göç eden ve kendilerine göre yabancı bir kültürel, dilsel, ekonomik ve politik ortama gelen Girit göçmenlerini araştırmak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu Rumca konuşan topluluğun yeni çevreye uyum süreci hayli zaman almış ve bu süreç, eğitim sistemi örneğinde olduğu gibi bazı devlet politikalarından da etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışma aynı zamanda, bir göçmen topluluğun dil vasıtasıyla edindiği hatırayı ve kimliği keşfetmektedir

Abstract:

Anatolia has witnessed lots of migrations from ex-Ottoman territories throughout history. Especially the ones happened from the end of the 19th Century to the Republican Period played an important role to shape the social structure in modern Turkey.It is aimed in this study to explore Cretan immigrants who migrated from the Island to Anatolia and came relatively to a foreign cultural, linguistic, economic and political environment. The adaptation process of this Greek-speaking community to the new environment took a long time and it was influenced by the some state policies like education system. This essay is also an exploration of an immigrant community’s memories and the identities they have experienced through language
