Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to study the levels of concerns that body education teachers candidates perceive about the teaching profession according to some variables. The sample group of the study formed a total of 277 students, including 185 men and 92 women, studying in the body education teaching, training and sports management departments of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University and Bartın Universities.  The research data was collected through the "Professional Worry Scale" (MKÖ) developed by Cabı and Yalçınalp (2013). For the analysis of the data, Mann Whitney U test and Spearman Correlation test were applied. According to the study, the professional concerns of the candidates for physical education are generally low, while gender-oriented concerns of women compared to men are significantly high. It is also concluded that the level of professional anxiety of teachers candidates is not differentiated in terms of being a student of the body education teaching department or a student of the pedagogical training program.
