Abstract:

From the century to the Danishmentli, Selçuklu and Ottoman periods, many religious, social, economic and cultural works, such as mosques, mosques, medrese, imaret, zâviye, han, hamam and turbe, have been brought into the body in the city of Tokat. In bringing these works into the body, it is great that Tokat is on the road route to the east-west, south-north, and that it has a rich socio-economic potential with a moderate climate and productive agricultural land. As in the entire Ottoman country, the religious, social, cultural and economic works established in Tokat have fulfilled their existence with the help of the foundation. In this article, only the foundations of Ali Paşa Camii will be discussed as an example of the rich foundation works that exist in Tokat during the Ottoman era. Although there are some of the foundations of this mosque, these works do not study the foundations of this mosque from the beginning to today. This is XII-XX. It was the largest of the 17 mosques built in the city center of Tokat between centuries and was built in 1570 by Sivas Governor Temerrüd Ali Pasha. The rich foundation for the maintenance and repair of the mosque and the salary of their duties was allocated.  Some of the good owners have also established additional foundation for the mosque. The purpose of the review is to contribute to Tokat's socio-cultural history by addressing all aspects of Ali Paşa Camii foundations.
