Abstract:

The effect factor and the citesore value of a magazine is related to how much the publications of a magazine are shown in other studies. The impact factor and citescore value are used to provide information about the competitive status of the magazines and to academic assessments. This study also aims to facilitate the selection of magazines for researchers in the tourism field by identifying the citescore and magazine influence factors for 2019, which have reached a certain level in the tourism field. The research has been carried out in the framework of the study because it is not possible to reach all the journals published in the tourism field. The easy sampling method of the Sobiad, Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus and Ulakbim databases in the tourism field magazine, magazine influence factor and citescore values are studied and interpreted. The study, which examined a total of 97 magazines, found that the highest influence factor in all the databases scanned were the magazines Tourism Management and the International Journal of Hospitality Management. Citescore is the highest-ranking tourism management magazine. When the publications of magazines with a high-effect factor are studied within the research framework, the conclusion is that the compilation work has less space than the research work, and the research work has a positive impact on the magazine effect factor, unlike what is known.
