Abstract:

Doğal insan dilleri, işitsel-ses yolunu kullanan konuşma dilleri ve görsel-jest yolunu kullanan işaret dilleri olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Türk İşaret Dili TİD uzun bir geçmişe sahip ve kendisine özgü bir dil yapısı olan bir dildir. TİD dersi kapsamında kaynakların sınırlı olması nedeniyle, ilgili güncel bilgilerin, farklı alanlardan çalışmalar ile desteklenerek, kısa bilgiler şeklinde sunulduğu bu makalede eğitim alanında çalışan akademisyen ve öğrencilere, TİD’nin tarihsel ve güncel çalışmaları ile ilgili bilgi vermek hem de işaret dili derslerine katkıda bulunmak amaçlamaktadır. İşitme engelli çocukların TİD’e erişiminin mümkün olduğunca erken yaşta sağlanması bu bireylerin dil, bilişsel ve sosyal gelişimi açısından önemlidir. TİD eğitimlerinin formasyon eğitimi olan öğretmenler tarafından verilmesi ve toplumun her kesiminin TİD ve işitme engelliler topluluğu hakkında bilinçlendirilmesi gerekmektedir.

Abstract:

Natural human languages are divided into two categories: auditory spoken languages that use sounds and visual sign languages that use gestures. Turkish Sign Language TSL is a language that extends back a long time and has a unique language structure. This article which the information is presented as short information and which is supported by the studies from different fields due to the limited sources within the scope of Turkish Sign Language course aims to both inform academicians and students who study in education field about the historical and current studies of Turkish Sign Language and contribute to sign language courses. To enable deaf children to access TSL early as possible is significant for the language, cognitive and social development of these individuals. Giving TSL education by the teachers who has received pedagogical formation education and raising awareness about the TSL and deaf community in all parts of society
