Jigsaw Yönteminin 9. Sınıf Tarih Dersinde Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarıları Üzerinde Etkisi

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı 9. sınıf tarih dersinde jigsaw yöntemi ve tarih öğretim programının önerdiği yöntemlerin öğrencilerin akademik başarıları üzerinde etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmada öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen uygulanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu, 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında Trabzon’un Of İlçesi’nde bulunan bir lisenin 9. sınıflarında okuyan 88 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Deney ve kontrol grupları tesadüfi örnekleme ile seçilmiştir. Araştırmada, “Türkiye Tarihi Ünitesi Başarı Testi” öntest ve sontest olarak her iki gruba uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklemler t-testi ve bağımlı örneklemler t-testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları her iki yöntemin de öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını anlamlı düzeyde artırdığını göstermektedir. Ancak deney grubunun öntest-sontest puan farkının kontrol grubunun öntest-sontest puan farkına göre daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The Effect Of Jigsaw Method On Students’ Academic Success About History Course At 9th Grade

Abstract:

The aim of this research, is to determine the effect of jigsaw method and current history teaching programs methods on the academic success of the students in the 9th grade history lesson. Semi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was applied. The working group is composed of 88 students studying at 9th grade in the district of Of belongs Trabzon in 2013-2014 academic year. Experimental and control groups were selected by random sampling. In the study, "History Lesson Attitude Scale" was applied both group as pretest and posttest. Datas’ analysis was done by independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test. The results of the research show that both method significantly increase the academic achievement of the students. However, it is seen that the pre-test-post test score difference of the experimental group is higher than the control group's pre-test-post test score difference.
