Bu çalışmada, bilgi ekonomisi ve ekonomik büyüme kavramları incelenerek, bu iki kavram arasındaki ilişki açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, 37 ülkenin 2003 - 2016 yılları arasındaki bilgi ekonomisi göstergeleri ve ekonomik büyüme değerleri incelenmiştir. Analizde 2010 yılı temel fiyatları ile ABD Doları cinsinden reel Gayrisafi Yurt İçi Hâsıla ekonomik büyümeyi, Ar-Ge harcamaları, yüksek teknoloji ihracatı, patent başvuru sayısı ve beşeri sermayeyi temsilen ortaöğretim brüt okullaşma oranı bilgi ekonomisi göstergelerini ifade etmektedir. Ayrıca modelde kontrol değişken vektörü olarak sermaye ve emek kullanılmıştır. Sermaye değişkenini Gayrisafi Sabit Sermaye Oluşumu, emek değişkenini ise toplam işgücü temsil etmektedir. Bu değişkenler ışığında bilgi ekonomisi ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki incelenirken panel veri yöntemi kullanılmış ve ardından bazı testler uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak elde edilen bulgularda, bilgi ekonomisi göstergelerinde meydana gelecek artışın ekonomik büyümeye olumlu bir katkı sağlayacağı tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, by studying the concepts of information economy and economic growth, the relationship between these two concepts was tried to be explained. In this context, information economy indicators and economic growth values in 37 countries between 2003 and 2016 have been studied. In the analysis, the basic prices of 2010 and the U.S. Dollar in real income to domestic income; economic growth, R&D spending, high-tech exports, the number of patent applications and human capital represented by the high school’s gross education rate; information economy indicators. Capital and labour were also used as a controlling variable vector in the model. The capital variable is the fixed capital creation, and the labour variable is the total labour force. In light of these variables, the relationship between the information economy and economic growth was studied while the panel data method was used and then some tests were implemented. The findings found that the future increase in information economy indicators would be a positive contribution to economic growth.

In the analysis, real gross domestic product in terms of basic prices and USD in 2010; secondary school gross enrollment rate representing economic growth, R&D expenditures, high technology exports, number of patent applications and human capital; represent indicators of knowledge economy. In addition, capital and labor were used as the control variable vector in the model. Gross fixed capital represents capital, while total labor force represents labor. In the light of these variables, panel data method was used to examine the relationship between knowledge economy and economic growth and then some tests were applied. As a result, it was determined that the increase in information economy indicators will make a positive contribution to economic growth.
