Bu araştırmanın amacı Sivas il merkezinde bulunan bir okulu okul yöneticisinin yaşam deneyimlerinin okula yansımaları, okulun yönetim faaliyetleri ve süreçleri bakımından, okulda görev yapan okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerin görüşleri doğrultusunda, değerlendirmek ve bir okul yönetim süreci önerisinde bulunmaktır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış ve durum çalışması deseni benimsenmiştir. Araştırmanın katılımcıları, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme ve kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2018-2019 öğretim yılı güz döneminde Sivas il merkezinde bulunan bir okulda görev yapan bir okul yöneticisi ve yirmi iki öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacıların geliştirmiş olduğu yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin betimsel analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, okul yöneticisinin yaşantısına kişilik özellikleri ve iletişim yönüyle bakılarak liderlik ve yöneticilik yaklaşımı incelenmiştir. Okul yöneticisinin okula bakış açısına dikkate edilerek okulun bürokratik işleyişi, güçlü ve zayıf yönleri, vizyonu ve misyonu ele alınmıştır. Okul yöneticisinin çatışmayı çözme ve disiplini sağlama, akademik ve sosyal alanda geliştirdiği projeler ile okul yönetimi kapsamında okul yöneticisinin okulda geliştirdiği projeler ve geliştireceği projeler, başarıyı ve öğretmen motivasyonunu artırma yolları incelenmiştir. Okul yöneticisinin öğrenci-öğretmen-veli ile etkileşimi dikkate alınmıştır. Ayrıca okul yöneticisinin öğrencilerden, öğretmenlerden, velilerden talep ve beklentileri ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak elde edilen bulgulara dayalı olarak bir okul yönetimi süreci önerilmiştir.
This study aims to evaluate a school in Sivas in line with the reflections of the school principal's life experiences on the school, the school's management activities and processes, and the opinions of school administrators and teachers, and to suggest a school management process. Qualitative research and case study methods were adopted in the research. Criterion and convenience sampling methods were used to select the participants. The sample of the study consisted of 1 administrator and 22 teachers working in a school in Sivas in the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. The researchers collected the data using a semi-structured interview form they had developed and analysed the data using descriptive analysis. The researchers looked at the school administrator's life in terms of personality traits and communication and examined the administrator's leadership and supervision approach. The school's bureaucratic functioning, its strengths, weaknesses, vision, and mission were examined by paying attention the administrator's perspective. The methods used by the administrator to resolve conflict, ensure discipline, increase success and teacher motivation, and the academic, social, and administrative projects they developed were examined. The administrator's interactions with and demands and expectations from students, teachers, and parents were studied. The researchers proposed a school management process based on the findings.
