A healthy communication between people is one of the most important elements of a medical treatment process. For this reason, under the topic of health communication, there have been an increasing number of scientific studies on the importance of the communication between health institutions and public, doctor and patient, or doctor and other health workers. This study aims to discuss the problems in the communication between the doctor, patient, patient’s relatives and the doctor’s colleagues through the two popular TV series called Hekimoğlu and Mucize Doktor which are adapted by considering cultural structure of Turkey. The common ground in these two TV series called Hekimoğlu and Mucize Doktor is that they problematize the anti-heroes, who have the ability to solve technical medical problems, as socio phobic people. These TV series in which health problems and communication problems intertwine are regarded as important tools that provide opportunities to re-evaluate health communication. When these points are considered, these hospital themed TV series are assumed to include the crystallized aspects of the perceptions in the health communication context. With this premise, characters in these two TV series are analysed by focusing on their behaviours during the communication processes, and problems in doctor, patient and colleague communication are classified under certain categories and analysed qualitatively.
