Abstract:

During pandemic periods, especially healthcare workers are seen as the most important risk group. The COVID-19 pandemic, which was defined as of December 2019, has brought important problems worldwide. Although there are a limited number of publications and national status reports that provide information about the number of people caught with COVID-19 among healthcare workers within the scope of the process to date, the estimates are about much higher than the reported number. In this study, the risks faced by healthcare workers depending on their working conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic process and the hospital practices within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety studies were determined. When the results of the research were examined, it was determined that the necessary precautions were provided at a rate of 90%, especially within the scope of the use of medical equipment and the organization in the dining hall. In addition, Measures and Practices for Hospital-General, Measures and Practices Taken Outside of Hospital, and Measures and Practices for definite or possible Covid-19 patients are applied at an average rate of 70%. In addition, the state of protective equipment provided to healthcare personnel is not at a sufficient level.
