Abstract:

One of the important fronts that the Ottoman State fought in the First World War was undoubtedly the Kafkas Front. As opposed to other fronts, the Ottoman and Tsarish Russia are concerned with this front because they are open to attacks directly towards the center of Anadolu. From the 1828-1829 Ottoman-Russian War, Erzurum became the target of Russia. During World War I, Russia's primary goal at the Kafkas Front was to capture Erzurum. The City of Ottoman III. Having the headquarters of the army and taking the role of a castle that provides supplies not only in Eastern Anadolu but also for the operations of the Turkish army in the Caucasus and the Iraqi region has been turned into the reason that the Russians are taking a turmoil on Erzurum. Unfortunately, a number of scientific studies have been conducted in Turkey regarding the occupation of Erzurum so far. But the occupation of an important castle like Erzurum has not been found to focus on how the period was translated into the Russian press and literature, and how it was reflected in Russia and the world. Therefore, in the study, the Russian press and literature of the period approached to occupation, the emphasis of occupation in Russia and in the world.
