Abstract:

The aim of this study is to measure the impact of the overall quality management approach, which provides many advantages for, on work performance and work satisfaction. The universe of research is formed by a design-engineering company located in the automotive industry. The research was conducted in a design company located in Kocaeli province, with 361 volunteer participants according to the principle. The method of survey was used to collect data in the study. In the analysis of the obtained data using the SPSS package program, the necessary analyses have been implemented. In the hypothesis tests carried out in accordance with the purpose of the study, it was found that the subdimensions of overall quality management practices, "Leadership", "Organization Trust" and "Personal Relationships", both work satisfaction and subdimensions of work performance, positively affected "Related Performance" and "Task Performance". Thus, as general quality management applications are implemented, the performance and job satisfaction of employees will increase. In addition, there are many sub-dimensions of Total Quality Management, and other sub-dimensions can be investigated whether they increase these outcomes or not. In different sectors, this study can also be determined as another subject of research where similar results will not be obtained.
