Bu çalışmada, Burdur ili içerisinde istihdam edilen perakende sektörü çalışanlarının finansal okuryazarlık seviyeleri analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcıların tanımlayıcı özellikleri açısından finansal okuryazarlık seviyelerinde farklılık olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Hazırlanan anket formu; 2021 yılı Şubat ve Mart aylarında tesadüfi seçim yöntemi ile 501 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin normal dağılmaması nedeniyle araştırmada parametrik olmayan testlerin uygulanmasına karar verilmiştir. Bu kapsamda ikili grupların karşılaştırılmalarında Mann Whitney U testi, ikiden fazla grubun karşılaştırılmasında ise Kruskal Wallis testi uygulanmıştır. Kruskal Wallis testi neticesinde farklılıkların hangi gruplarda ortaya çıktığını incelemek için Mann Whitney U testine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, katılımcıların yüksek seviyede finansal okuryazarlığa sahip oldukları ve katılımcıların bazı demografik özelliklerine göre finansal okuryazarlık düzeylerinin farklılaştığı bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır.
In this study, the financial level of literacy of the retail sector employees employed in the Burdur region was analyzed. It has also been investigated whether there are differences in the levels of financial literacy in terms of the identificative characteristics of participants. The prepared survey form was applied to 501 people by random election method in February and March 2021. Due to the lack of normal dissemination of the data obtained from the study, it was decided to apply non-parametric tests in the study. In this scope, the Mann Whitney U test was used in the comparison of two groups, while the Kruskal Wallis test was used in the comparison of two groups. The Mann Whitney U test was applied to the examination of which groups the differences occurred as a result of the Kruskal Wallis test. The study found that the participants had a high level of financial literacy and that the levels of financial literacy varied according to some demographic characteristics of the participants.
