Abstract:

This study was carried out to explored inequality in health. WHO regions in the study life expectancy, child health, women's health, communicable diseases and obesity, access to health care, health infrastructure and financing. The data of the study were obtained from the World Health Organization database "The Global Health Observatory". In the study, the current situation in terms of health variables was given and the relative risks were calculated for each variable. The differences of the regions in terms of health variables were analyzed using the Single Sample Chi-Square Test. Factor analysis was used to rank the regions in terms of health variables. As a result of the study, it was determined that there are differences between regions in terms of all health indicators, in other words, there are regional inequalities. It has been determined that the African Region is the most unfavorable region in terms of indicators as a result of both the calculated layer and factor analysis. With every step to be taken towards eliminating inequalities in health, both the health level of the citizens of the countries where inequality is intense will increase and their health will become even better indirectly due to the contribution of health to production.
