So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.
How can I see only citations to my article?
After searching the name of your article, you can see the references to the article you selected as soon as you click on the details section.

Op-Art Optik Sanat Akımının Görsel Algı ve Grafik Tasarım Kavramları Açısından Tanımlanması
2019
Journal:
Iğdır Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi
Author:
Abstract:

Op-Art (Optical Art) Stream Identification in Visual Perception and Graphic Design Concepts
2019
Author:
Abstract:

The effort to communicate the message to the public in the most effective way has brought new searches in all the branches of art. The Op-Art stream, which emerged in the field of art since the 1950s, is an art stream that is interested in the perception structure of the human brain and the basis and development of optical perception. The flow-leading Vasarely, Yaacov Agam and Jesus Raphael Soto have created misconceptions with the movable art and kinetic art examples. Op-Art, which requires certain technical principles and optical rules, affects the audience by creating physical and psychological effects. Within this art flow, the artists have created their works according to the logic and the structure of misconception with certain geometric patterns. As in the Op-Art stream, graphic design also creates visual effects by achieving three-dimensional illusion with the use of color, shape and line. Both graphic design and Op-Art works show the design product or the desired relationship between the artwork and the recipient is related to the processes that enable the realization of visual perception. The article aims to contribute to academic comprehensibility by defining Op-Art works in terms of visual perception and graphic design concepts.

Abstract:

The effort to convey the message to the masses in the most effective way has brought with it New searches in all branches of art. The Op-Art current emerging in the field of art since 1950 is an art current that deals with the perception structure of the human brain and the development of optical perception. Vasarely, Yaacov Agam and Jesus Raphael Soto, leading the movement, created an illusion with examples of moving art and kinetic art. Op-Art, which requires certain technical principles and optical rules, creates physical and psychological effects and influences the audience. In this movement of art, artists created their works according to the logic of editing and the structure of illusion with certain geometric patterns. As with Op-Art flow, visual effects are created by using color, form and line in graphic design by using three dimensionality illusion. In both graphic design and Op-Art studies, the relationship between the design product or work of art and the buyer is related to the processes that enable the realization of visual perception. The aim of this article is to define Op-Art works in terms of visual perception and graphic design concepts and to contribute to academic understanding.
