Çocukluk, insan yaşamının önemli bir dönemidir. İnsanın saf bir tabiatla dünyaya geldiğini, onun eşref-i mahlukat olduğunu söyleyen İslam dininin etkisiyle çocukluk ayrı bir kıymet ve önem kazanmıştır. İslam’da çocuğa verilen değerin en açık delillerini Hz. Peygamber’in sözlü ve fiili sünnetinde bulmak mümkündür. Hz. Peygamber uygulamalarıyla hem kendi dönemine hem de günümüze ışık tutmuş, çocuğun değerli olduğunu ortaya koyarak çocukluğun ayrı ve önemli bir dönem olduğunu asırlar öncesinden model olarak göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada, hadislerde yaş itibariyle “çocuk” kavramı, çocuğun bakımı, terbiyesi, eğitimi, çocuklukta oyun, erkek ve kız çocuğuna karşı takınılacak tavır gibi konular bağlamında hadisler değerlendirilecek hadislerde çocuğun değeri ve çocukla iletişim konuları ele alınmaya çalışılacaktır.
Abstract Childhood is an important period of human life. Childhood has gained a special value and importance under the influence of the religion of Islam, which states that man is born with a pure nature and that he is a noble creature. It is possible to find the clearest evidence of the value given to children in Islam in the verbal and actual sunnah of the Prophet. With his practices, the Prophet shed light on both his own time and today, revealing that the child is valuable and showing that childhood is a separate and important period as a model centuries ago. In this study, hadiths will be evaluated in the context of issues such as the concept of "child" in terms of age, childcare, upbringing, education, childhood games, and attitudes towards boys and girls; In the hadiths, the value of the child and the issues of communication with the child will be discussed.
